A Fall Caribbean Cruise - Is It For You?
Published by admin | Filed under Travel and Leisure
The idea of sailing off into the Caribbean sunset whilst the trees are turning and the winds are bellowing may not on first reflection seem the best idea in the world. However, think again my Caribbean cruising friends and don’t be fooled by your first impressions.
You may not realize that the price of a cruise can drop by several hundred dollars quite literally over night, and if you think the temperatures change that quickly, you’re wrong. In fact the average temperature throughout the Caribbean only drops by around 5 degrees between the summer and winter, and in many areas, for example the Cayman Islands it is in fact the summer months that bear the most rain!
A fall cruise may therefore be lighter on the pocket than a summer one, but what about in comparison to other options? When considering the price of a Caribbean cruise you must consider what is included in it and what you might get for your money else where. This fall, a 7 day Caribbean cruise could be found for under $500. In comparison, Disney world costs $71 for a one day entrance pass and Sea World costs $40; A ticket to see the Yankees play could set you back up to $400 and a Broadway show anything between $20 and $300 - 7 days for $500 is looking pretty good, right?
So, the weather is good, the prices are better, what else could be beneficial about a fall cruise? A cruise is meant to be relaxing - surely then a cruise when kids are in school has got to be a good choice. Finally, because it’s low season the cruise liners aren’t packed; you will have space.
The Caribbean is beautiful year round, but why not make the most of the opportunity you have; reconsider the fall as the time to take your next cruise.
